Albanian football suspends players for match-fixing

The Albanian football association (FSF) has submitted information on match-fixing to a district prosecutor’s office, after it suspended two players for match-fixing. KF Teuta goalkeeper Alfred Osmani has been suspended for six months, as has KF Elbasani defender Arjan Pisha.

The two players were charged with attempting to fix a match between KF Teuta and Kosovan club KF Flamurtari in Albania’s top division, the Superliga. In a YouTube video, supporters can be heard booing after Flamurtari go 2-1 up after a number of near misses.
