The trouble with Ostarine: Jimmy Wallhead’s
16th March 2018
The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) will today hearing classical violinist Vanessa Mae’s appeals against International Ski Federation’s (FIS) decisions to annul her Sochi 2014 Winter Olympic results, and ban her for four years. “The appeals are taking place today”, a CAS spokesperson told the Sports Integrity Initiative. “The date was confirmed after the publication of the hearing list.”
The CAS will hear two appeals from Mae (Vanessa Vanakorn). The first is against the 6 November 2014 decision of the FIS Hearing Panel to annul four ladies giant slalom races, which it alleges were manipulated to ensure that Mae qualified for Sochi 2014. The second is against the 18 November FIS Council decision to annul her Sochi results. A CAS media release on the appeals is available here.
