The trouble with Ostarine: Jimmy Wallhead’s
16th March 2018

World Triathlon reports that a sample collected from Alexander Bryukhankov, a triathlete from Russia, has returned an Adverse Analytical Finding (AAF) for recombinant Erythropoietin (EPO) (S.2 Peptide, Hormones, Growth Factors, Related Substances, and Mimetics). The sample was collected by World Triathlon during an in-competition anti-doping control on 19 June 2021 in Kitzbuhel, Austria, at the 2021 Europe Triathlon Sprint & Relay Championships.
The athlete has the right to request the analysis of the B-sample and to challenge the imposition of the provisional suspension before the Court of Arbitration for Sport – Anti-Doping Division (CAS ADD). Given that the case is underway, there will be no further comments during the ongoing proceeding.
