WADA announces the publication of the two following Guidelines:
1. Reporting & Management of Urinary Human Chorionic Gonadotrophin (hCG) and Luteinizing Hormone (LH) Findings in Male Athletes, v2.0. These Guidelines replace the current hCG Guidelines, v1.0 September 2011, and incorporate important changes in the testing methods for hCG and the reporting and management of hCG findings. This modified version of the hCG Guidelines also provides instructions and recommendations on the testing and reporting of LH findings.
2. Human Growth Hormone (hGH) Biomarkers Test for Doping Control Analyses, v1.0. These new Guidelines have been developed to ensure a harmonized approach in the application of the GH-2000 Biomarkers Test for the detection of doping with human Growth Hormone (hGH) in sport. This version provides direction on the sample pre-analytical preparation procedure, the performance of the test and the interpretation of the test results.
These two Guidelines are effective immediately and are available on WADA’s website.
