The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) today launched the first in a series of WADA Talks video interviews featuring the Agency’s President, Sir Craig Reedie. The new series features dynamic exchanges with a variety of thought leaders from the world of clean sport.

In this first interview, Sir Craig discusses the progress made during his tenure so far and the main challenges he now faces as the leading figure in the anti-doping movement. He also reminisces on some of the main achievements in his five-decade career in sports administration.

“There are a number of challenges I’m faced with in my role as WADA President,” said Reedie in the interview. “Keeping up with current doping trends, dealing with those support personnel that wrongly persuade their athletes to dope, and keeping track of those athletes that try things which are more difficult to detect. There are a whole range of issues that you have to knock off one after another, and that’s what this agency (WADA) does.”

WADA Talks sees the agency’s Senior Manager, Media Relations and Communications, Ben Nichols interviewing leading figures from the athlete community, sport, government and anti-doping community, as well as other partners involved in the clean sport movement.
