The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) announces that Mexican rider Luis Ricardo Villalobos Hernandez has been notified of an Adverse Analytical Finding (AAF) for GHRP-6 (Peptide hormones, growth factors, related substances, and mimetics) in a sample collected by the Mexican National Anti-Doping Organisation during an out-of-competition control on 25 April 2019.* The AAF resulted from the reanalysis of the above referenced sample by the World Anti-doping Agency (WADA). WADA has designated the UCI as the Results Management Authority in accordance with the World Anti-Doping Code.
The rider has the right to request and attend the opening and analysis of the B sample. In accordance with UCI Anti-Doping Rules, the rider has been provisionally suspended until the adjudication of the procedure is completed. At this stage of the procedure, the UCI will not comment any further.
*At the time of the sample collection the Rider was contracted to the UCI Continental Team Aevolo.
