• The Sanction Commission of the National Anti-Doping Agency of France (AFLD) has suspended the Swiss kickboxer Yoann Kongolo and the Swiss powerlifter Mathieu Erhardt for four years.
The two Swiss athletes were subjected to in competition doping tests in France. The positive analysis results were pursued by the AFLD and were brought to prosecution and sanctioned locally.
The 32-year-old Yoann Kongolo was sanctioned with a four year ban and a fine of €5,000 due to the presence of Methandrostenolone and stanozolol. Taking into account the two month provisional suspension, the ban applies from 30 September 2019.
Mathieu Erhardt was sanctioned with a four year ban and a fine of €2,000 due to presence of Methylstenbolone, Ostarine and ibutamoren. Under Article L232-23-3-11 of the French ‘Code du Sport’, the prohibition shall apply from 10 March 2018. Sanctions in sports that are subject to the World Anti-Doping Code apply worldwide and also for all other signatories of the Code, and all functions within sport.
