• Austrian billiards player Mario Yi Tong, who won the 8 ball tournament at the 2012 European Pool Championships, has been sanctioned with a four month ban after returning an adverse analytical finding (AAF) for hydrochlorothiazide. • Malaysia has denied entry to Israeli swimmers due to compete in the 2019 World Para Swimming Championships, which takes place in Kuching from 27 July to 4 August, reports Ynet. A spokesperson for the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) said that it is investigating the situation.
• Alex Gilady, Vice Chair of the International Olympic Committee’s (IOC) Coordination Commission for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, has withdrawn a libel lawsuit after coming to an agreement with two reporters who accused him of sexual harassment, reports the Jerusalem Post. It is understood that agreement was reached following a mediation proceeding between the involved parties.
