• The Russian Wrestling Federation has sanctioned wrestler Gadji Gamzatov (Гаджи Гамзатова) with a four year ban for violating its doping rules, the Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA) has announced. It is understood that Gamzatov will lose the gold he won in the -92kg category at the 2018 European Freestyle Wresting Youth Championships, which took place in Skopje, Macedonia, during May. The Russian Federation of Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined has sanctioned Ajsyłu Fachiertdinowa with a four year ban, RUSADA also announced. Fachiertdinowa returned from a previous two year ban on Christmas Day 2016, featured in this archived list of doping sanctions.
• The International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) has announced its list of athletes sanctioned for a doping offence as of 26 June 2018. The list (PDF below) includes four Russians, three Ethiopians, and one athlete each from Bahrain, Hungary, India, Italy, and Kenya.
• The US Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) has tested a new TAP™ Device at the 2018 Boston Marathon that simplifies blood collection through use of dried blood spot testing. As reported by The Sports Integrity Initiative in January, dried blood spot testing is being introduced by the Ultimate Fighting Championships (UFC), and is understood to be cheaper than traditional blood collection techniques.
