• The Japan Swimming Federation (JSF) has confirmed that former backstroke World Champion Junya Koga has been provisionally suspended, after reporting adverse analytical findings (AAFs) for LGD-4033 and SARM S-22. The JSF said that the international swimming federation (FINA) imposed a provisional suspension on Koga on 15 May, and as such, he will not be selected to represent Japan at the 18th Asian Games, which takes place from 18 August to 2 September in Indonesia. At a press conference, Koga blamed the AAF on supplements, reports AFP.
• Cyclist Giovanni Riccioni, a member of the ASD Team Valle Siciliana, has been provisionally suspended after returning adverse analytical findings (AAFs) for a triamcinolone acetonide metabolite, as well as recombinant erythropoietin (EPO), announced the Italian anti-doping agency (NADO Italia). NADO Italia reported that he tested positive at the 15th Fondo Colli Teatini on 25 April, where he finished 1st in the GENT2 category (15th overall). NADO Italia also announced that squash player Alexander Joe Hodgetts has been provisionally suspended after returning an AAF for metabolites of methandienone at the Italian Team Championships on 21 April.
