The Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA) has suspended and banned a number of athletes for anti-doping violations. It imposed a two-year ban on cyclist Sergey Strelov from 29 July 2014, after his A sample returned an adverse analytical finding (AAF) at the Russian Cycling Championship in Kemerovo, 19 June 2014. Strelov is also banned from all educational and training camp activity, following the RUSADA decision in the case.
The Russian Canoe Racing Federation has also banned Ilya Storojenkov for two years from 8 September 2014 following an anti-doping rule violation (ADRV), reported RUSADA. It also reported that the Russian Armsport Association, following materials it provided, has banned Imran Navruzaliev and Abdula Eldarov for two years following an ADRV, commencing 21 March 2014.
RUSADA also provisionally suspended bobsledder Denis Moiseychenkov after his A sample from the Russian Championship in Sochi, 29 October, returned an AAF when analysed by the Moscow Anti-Doping Centre.
Mikhail Stefanovich, who plays for Belarusian ice-hockey team HK Gomel, has been provisionally suspended by RUSADA, after his A sample returned an AAF. The sample was collected at a Championship in Angarsk, on 26 October 26. The athlete has been informed of the potential ADRV and his rights.
