RUSADA confirms five new anti-doping rule violations

Five Russian athletes from various sports have been sanctioned for anti-doping rule violations, the Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA) confirmed this week. Sergei Isaev (Сергея Исаева) has been sanctioned with a two year ban from 18 November 2020, following an anti-doping rule violation (ADRV) for an unnamed substance. The young swimmer will lose the 400m Silver and 200m Bronze he won in the Individual Medley at the Kazan Russian Swimming Championships in October 2020, a statement from the Russian swimming federation (WFP) confirmed. His ban will run until 17 November 2022.

Ilez Khashagulgov (Илеза Хашагульгова) has been sanctioned with a three year ban for an ADRV involving an unnamed substance from 6 November 2020. The Ingush wrestler placed second in the ‘Five Stars’ grappling tournament held from 24-25 October at Shali in the neighbouring Chechen Republic. It is not known if this result will be cancelled as a result of the ADRV.

Maxim Bolomozhnov (Максима Боломожнова), a cross-fit athlete, has been sanctioned with a two year ban from 6 October 2020, for competing whilst serving a ban. Yuliya Sidortsova (Юлию Сидорцову), a para rower, has been sanctioned with an eight month ban from 12 October 2020, for an ADRV involving an unnamed substance. Anastasia Belousova (Анастасию Белоусову), a track and field athlete, was sanctioned with a four year ban from 12 October 2020 for an ADRV involving an unnamed substance.
