The Queensland Racing Integrity Commission (QRIC) Stewards have commenced an Inquiry into a Mackay Thoroughbred Trainer after he was found in possession of equipment allegedly capable of administering alkalising agents. A no notice Steward’s inspection at a Mackay property this morning located equipment and substances which were seized for analysis.
The Trainer’s three thoroughbred horses engaged to run at Mackay today were scratched and tested for prohibited substances. Racing Integrity Commissioner Ross Barnett said Stewards and the Integrity Investigations Team were continuing their program of no notice inspections and testing of participants to ensure the integrity of racing in Queensland.
