The International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) has provisionally suspended three weightlifters after they tested positive for a prohibited substance, one of which is already banned. Ghenadie Dudoglo is serving a four year ban until 10 December 2019, after returning an AAF for dehydrochlormethyltestosterone in December 2015. However, the IWF today announced that it has provisionally suspended him in connection with another positive test.
The IWF has also provisionally suspended Nadezhda Nogay of Kazakhstan and Elmar Aliyev of Azerbaijan, after they returned adverse analytical findings (AAF) for prohibited substances. The IWF also announced that it had cleared Marcos Ruiz Velasco of doping. The Spanish weightlifter was provisionally suspended in June after returning an AAF for testosterone.
