Italy’s National Anti-doping Tribunal (TNA) has sanctioned two athletes with a four-year ban and one with a reprimand for doping offences. The TNA issued Francesco Antonello Basson with a four-year ban from 3 July. It did not give its reasons for sanctioning the athlete, who is affiliated to the Italian Athletics Federation (FIDAL), however La Republic reported an Adverse Analytical Finding (AAF) for a number of substances at the Maratona La 6 ore della Reggia on 18 March.
A four-year ban was also issued to professional cyclist Hubert Krys, who will be disqualified from 3 July until 2 July 2021. The TNA also issued a reprimand to rugby union player Davide di Fabio.
