Integrity officers from football’s regulatory bodies will convene at the Chelsea Harbour Hotel in London on 9-10 March for Tackling Match Fixing, a conference organised by sports law organisation Rex Sport and Inside World Football. Oliver Jaberg, Director of Integrity at FIFA, and Nick Raudenski, UEFA’s Integrity Director, will outline measures that both bodies are implementing to combat match-fixing.
Emilio García Silvero, UEFA’s Managing Director of Integrity and Benoit Pasquier, Director of Legal Affairs at the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) will explain how and when sporting authorities can work with law enforcement authorities to tackle match-fixing. They will be joined by Alfredo Lorenzo, Integrity Officer at Spain’s La Liga, a recent highly anticipated addition to the speaker line up, given the reopening of a 2011 inquiry into match-fixing in Spain.
The conference will also feature speakers from players organisations such as FIFPro and England’s Professional Football Association (PFA); the Court of Arbitration for Sport; Great Britain’s Gambling Commission; as well as leading academics, betting organisations and sports integrity organisations.
