Canadian Hockey League to announce new anti-doping partner

The Canadian Hockey League (CHL) will shortly announce a new anti-doping partner, after its agreement with the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport (CCES) was terminated via mutual consent. ‘The CHL is committed to anti-doping education and the testing of our players’, wrote a CHL spokesperson in an email. ‘We will be announcing our new service provider in the very near future’.

The CCES has provided anti-doping services to the CHL since 2007. ‘The CCES and CHL have mutually agreed to end their relationship’, the CCES announced in a statement. Neither party revealed details as who why they had decided to terminate the 14-year relationship.
