UCI statement on Lloyd Mondory

The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) announces that the Anti-Doping Tribunal has rendered its decision in the case involving Lloyd Mondory.

The Anti-Doping Tribunal found Mr. Lloyd Mondory guilty of an anti-doping rule violation (presence of EPO) and imposed a 4-year period of ineligibility on the rider.

In accordance with the Procedural Rules of the Anti-Doping Tribunal, the decision will shortly be published on the UCI website.

On 10 March 2015, the UCI notified the French rider of an ‘Adverse Analytical Finding of EPO in a sample collected in the scope of an out-of-competition control on 17 February 2015.

This is the first decision on an anti-doping violation that has been handed down since the new UCI Anti-Doping Tribunal was established in January 2015 ‘as part of the reforms implemented by Brian Cookson since his election as UCI President.’
