• Three college football players have been suspended ahead of the 29 December College football playoffs in the US after testing positive for prohibited substances. Clemson Tigers players Braden Galloway, Zach Giella and Dexter Lawrence have tested positive for a trace finding of ostarine, the team’s Coach confirmed. The team, which is competing against Notre Dame in the Cotton Bowl, said it had requested analysis of the B sample of all three players.
• The International Powerlifting Federation has sanctioned Srecko Spasic (Срећка Спасића) with a four year ban after he tested positive for three anabolic steroids, reports the Anti-Doping Agency of Serbia (ADAS). Spasic returned an adverse analytical finding (AAF) for trenbolone, androsterone and testosterone at the Balkan Cup on 12 October. His ban will run from the 14 December date of his provisional suspension.
• The Indonesian football association (PSSI) has banned second division club PS Mojokerto Putra from the upcoming season, after finding it guilty of fixing three matches. The PSSI determined that the club had fixed games against Kalteng Putra on 3 and 9 November, as well as a 29 November game against Gresik United. It has also issued a life ban to PS Mojokerto Putra striker Krisna Ari Darma, as he was found to have intentionally missed a penalty in a 19 November game against Aceh United. The PSSI also confirmed that Johar Lin Eng, a member of its Executive Committee, is facing investigation by the police over match-fixing allegations.
